The doctor looked down at his blank form, debating whether to fill in the space for his signature, or to ball it up and throw it in the trash.

"Ma'am," he began, somewhat tentatively.

"Miss," she insisted.

He cleared his throat.

"Miss, I'm sorry but the only possible way you could have vomited up a baby is if you had first eaten it."
